To Enter the T1ME YouTube Video Competition
All we are asking is that you create a video – under two minutes – telling us:
- Who you are
- What your dream is
- What you need to achieve that dream
Yes, it’s pretty much exactly what you’ve told us already when you joined The Million Entrepreneurs.
Three Simple Steps
There are just three simple steps for you to take but they are all essential so please read carefully!
1. CREATE YOUR VIDEO
These days creating a video is very easy and many of you who own a Flip camera or have a webcam will have already done this. If that’s you, save your video on your computer and move straight to step 2. But what if you’ve never created a video before and you don’t get all that ‘techie’ stuff ? There are still at least two easy ways for you to get started. You’ll find our suggestions for newbies further down the page.
2. UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO TO YOUTUBE
Once you have created your video, log in to your existing YouTube account or open a new one, it takes only a minute to do this. At the top of your YouTube screen, click the UPLOAD link and browse to find the saved video on your computer. Hit ‘save’.
Important!
Once your video is uploaded you will need to add the following information to the relevant fields exactly as shown here:
TITLE:
The Million Entrepreneurs Dreams – Your Name eg The Million Entrepreneurs Dreams – Tina Smith
DESCRIPTION:
Please paste the following two paragraphs into the description box. Note the first paragraph is a standard one, while the second paragraph is a little information about yourself. http://themillionentrepreneurs.com – The Million Entrepreneurs is a global tribe of 1,000,000 small business people, start-ups, self-employed, solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, the redundant, the outsourced and the newly retired to whom we provide community, support and a voice. Our mission is to accelerate your business success, alleviate isolation and achieve the recognition we all deserve which we feel may be long overdue. Please replace this second paragraph with a paragraph about yourself. Tell us your name, say a little about your entry into the competition and don’t forget to include the URL for your own business!
TAGS:
Copy and paste all the following: “entrepreneur” “entrepreneurs” “successful entrepreneur” “successful entrepreneurs” “business entrepreneurs” “famous entrepreneurs” “entrepreneur ideas” “entrepreneurs dream” “entrepreneur business”
Category:
Non-profits and activism
3. TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENTRY
Once you have created and uploaded your entry with the relevant title, description, tags and category as shown in Step 2, then let us know by filling in the Contact Form or by dropping an email to: numberone[at]themillionentrepreneurs.com Just let us have your name and the URL of your video as it appears in YouTube. And remember all valid entries must have the title, description, tags and category as shown above. And that’s it. You’re done. At that point, it’s over to us. We will be highlighting and sharing your videos on the blog. A great promotional opportunity, you never know who’ll be watching.
WINNING VIDEOS
Each month we will be adding up the votes each video has received and awarding a prize to the Entrepreneur with the most votes (don’t forget to tell your friends and ask for their vote). In addition, Fairy Godmother and her team will be awarding a prize for the most inspirational entry.
SUGGESTIONS FOR NEWBIES
- If you have a webcam, open an account with YouTube or log in if you have one already. Once logged in, look for the link at the top of your page that says UPLOAD and it will then give you the option to record straight from your webcam. Nothing techie about that.
- Alternatively, get yourself a Jing Pro account. Jing is a nifty little application that allows you to record your computer screen. So if you have a webcam you could open it up and record yourself talking on your computer screen.
For the camera shy, or those without a webcam, why not create a simple one slide presentation and record yourself talking like Marion did here. There’s a handy free version of Jing but in order to upload your video to YouTube you will need the paid Jing Pro version at an affordable $14 per year.
VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE VISUAL LEARNERS
PS – When you have created your competition entry video, why not post it on your own blog with your affiliate link embedded in it? This next little video will show you how to do that:
